"A Paradise”
Commented on July 11th, 2011
The hotel is located about an hour and a half from the airport of Cuzco, from the road you can not see traces of it. The detour to the hotel is a dirt road. When you arrive you get a very pleasant surprise. The people are friendly, the facilities are very comfortable, all very clean and first class. Inside the hotel offers many activities despite the fact that is not a resort, it has a gallery, an orchid garden, movie theaters and culinary activities for children and adults. In addition they have a very large spa that offers all kind of treatments, as well as rooms for meditation, yoga classes, etc. The landscape is idyllic, many of the rooms have a wonderful view. It also has Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.

Let me begin by saying that the people who work there are very attentive and every one of them very friendly!!!...the facilities are very comfortable, nothing to envy from any other hotel!!! My tent was facing the sea, so the experience was a high level…. I thank all the staff who works there, for so much kindness and good service, the food is spectacular (I recommend the Lomo Saltado Vichayito and the Passion fruit (maracuyá) chilcano) !!! ….and definitely I will be going back!!!....See you soon!!!....

Vichayito Bungalows & Tents really is a true paradise, it has everything; the attention is A1, for example I was on the shores of the sea with my beautiful wife and I started craving a causa and a shrimp risotto and I did the order and immediately the waiters brought me a white table and my orders. There is nothing better that enjoying a causa and a shrimp risotto in the seaside comfortably in a chair. I stayed in a double Tent Suite, I think it was the Bedouin Tent No. S3 with an ocean view, with living room and a bath tub in the bathroom, really excellent the 4 days and 3 nights that I stayed. Now I miss Vichayito and I know that soon me and my wife will be back there, thank you Vichayito, I honestly tell everybody throughout Perú that this is the best resort, 5 stars, the tents and the best beaches, I recommend it.

“Beautiful resort was just what we wanted

I selected this resort (as I did most of my 2 weeks in Peru), based off Trip Advisor reviews. I was skeptical of the service but the wow-factors of the carpas (tents) was enough to convince me.

We were there at the end of May ("winter" in the north, aka 87 degrees). The place was very sparsely populated and we received EXCELLENT service. Things did not appear at the drop of a hat, but you have to consider it is a remote beach paradise. People are relaxed. Nonetheless, I found all the staff very helpful even when we had slight language barrier issues. All of our food came out timely, as ordered, along with our drinks. They helped me set up a jet ski rental where all I had to do was show up. I could see how things might be messy in full-season, but if you are visiting in the low season, good service will not be an issue.

On to the more important issues: The place is pretty much perfect for rest and relaxation. We had the Carpa Suite that had the best bed we slept on for our entire trip. The tents were just fantastic. The beach was awesome and the swimming/waves, even in the winter, were top notch. Oh and there was a computer to use the internet, so whoever said that below must have gotten unlucky or not asked.

To me, you are either going to Mancora for two reasons: to enjoy the beach, or to party. We had just been at an amazing wedding so beach relaxation was exactly what we needed. While we went to Mancora multiple times in our stay, if we were trying to party there every night the ride in to town might have proved a bit long.

I was very happy with my stay and would return the next time I find myself up north in Peru.
